People
Connecting people with wildlife and wild places is one of our core objectives. We run programmes for local primary and secondary schools, and for diverse groups of people – particularly trying to reach people wh ohave a lot to gain from spending time in nature but may have difficulty accessing wild places. We offer a wide range of activities, from learning about Fibonacci’s number patterns in nature to carving spoons around a campfire, and from sleeping out under the stars in summer to identifying trees in winter. Groups may spend a day or a series of days at Bwlch Corog, or camps of up to a week long.
When the COVID19 pandemic made it impossible for us to welcome our groups to Bwlch Corog, rather than resting on our laurels, we teamed up with Arts Drop to create Nature Arts Drop, ensuring that we continued to support children and young people in our area. Read more about Nature Arts Drop.
Since then, we’ve expanded our on-site programmes to work with as many people as capacity and funding allow, often cooperating with other charities such as those working with young carers, refugees or people suffering from addictions. Follow the links below to read about some of our current programmes.
